Power of Prayer

“What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?”  Deuteronomy 4:7

The Yada-Yada Ladies Prayer group meets the last Sunday of the month at 9:00 am.  Come and pray with us!

The Lord’s Prayer Garden

The Lord’s Prayer Garden is always open for prayer.  Walk among the prayer stones praying the Lord’s Prayer.  Below is a copy of the prayer guide you can use at home.  Prayer Guide brochures are available in the church office.

In the context of this prayer are the 5 major themes that have been restored to vitality in the church in our time:  Praise & worship, kingdom authority; prosperity; relationships; and spiritual authority

Station 1:  Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

·      Picture Calvary and thank God you can call him father by virtue of the blood of Jesus.

·      Hallow the names of God corresponding with the five benefits in the new covenant.  Make faith declarations.

Jehovah my banner

Jehovah my shepherd

The banner represented God’s cause, His battle, and was a sign of deliverance and salvation.  Jesus is the shepherd of his people.  He feeds, leads, protects and cares for his sheep.  Praise God you do not have to fear death.

Station 2:

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Matthew 6:33

·      Yourself – Pray that God’s kingdom—His righteousness, joy and peace—be established in you and that His will for you that day will be set in your spirit.  You need divine wisdom and revelation if you are to properly administer your home, business resources, etc.  Pray over particular concerns.

·      Your family - Your mate if married.  Pray that righteousness, peace and joy will rule your mate’s life.  Petition the Lord to lay other family members on your heart.

·      Your church - Pray for the pastor, the leadership of the church, the faithfulness of the people, and the harvest

·      Nation – Pray that the president will have the wisdom of God; spiritual leaders will walk in wisdom.  Name your city, state and national leaders.  Pray for revival. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Ask the Sprit to implement your priorities and to help you live them out.

Station 3:

Give us this day our daily bread.

Be in the will of God

·      Ask the Holy Spirit to help you develop a consistent daily personal prayer life and time in the Word where you fellowship daily with Jesus

·      Pray the Lord will plant you in your local church and make you a contributing, functioning, healthy part of that body.

·      Ask the Lord to give you ability, efficiency, might and balance

·      Examine your giving

Believe it is God’s will to prosper you.  Be specific with your needs. Pray instead of worry.

Be tenacious – take back what the devil has taken.  Praise the Lord that He sees your need beforehand and makes provision

Station 4:

And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors

·      Ask God to forgive you.  Ask the Holy Sprit to reveal areas in your life that are not pleasing to God.  Confess your sin.  Do not allow condemnation.

·      Forgive as you want to be forgiven.  See your sin actually causing Jesus’ suffering on the cross.  Pray for those who have wronged you.

·      Set your will to forgive anyone who sins against you this day.  Make the declaration “I will bless them that curse me and do good to them that hate me.  Pray to experience the fruits of the Spirit in your life in greater measure (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance, and faith. Gal 5:22-23)

Station 5:

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil

Put on the whole armor of God.

Jesus – my truth

Jesus – my righteousness

Jesus – my readiness

Jesus – my faith

Jesus – my salvation

Jesus – my living word

Jesus – my baptizer in the Spirit

Gird loins with truth

Breastplate of righteousness

Feet shod with preparation of the gospel of peace

Shield of faith

Helmet of salvation

Sword of the Spirit (the Word)

Praying always in the Spirit

Build a hedge of protection because we made the Lord our habitation.  Because we have set our love upon him and because we have known His name.

Declare:  He is my refuge and my fortress.  In Him will I trust.

Station 6:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.  Amen

Matthew 6:9-13

·      The Kingdom - Praise the Lord because He has translated you out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of love and light.  Make a faith declaration “the Lord shall preserve me from every evil work and preserve me unto His heavenly Kingdom.  Praise God because he has invited you to be a participant in His kingdom.

·      The Power – Praise the Lord because He has invited you to be a participant in His power.  Meditate upon the power of God your Father.  Measure your problems against His mighty, miraculous works and His great love for you.  Faith Declaration:  I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  I have been endued with power from on high.

·      The Glory – Behold the glory of the Lord.  Ask the Sprit to change you into the same image by forming Christ in you.  Ask to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Ask the Lord to help you walk worthy of Him and to help you serve Him as He deserves to be served.

Praise Him and give Him glory
